Power!!!! 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI (JDM)

Cute lass

Ghostly image of a small girl standing by the window

Yes we all saw a small whitish figure of a small girl while reviewing the photos from the new camera phone of our friend... but when we looked back at the actual building for a close up, "she" wasnt there anymore. It was past 9pm.. and no other activities in there and so no one could be in the building at that time... KEKEKEKE!

Red wine up for grabs!

by the way, if you like the red wine served at my ROM reception, I have 12 bottles left. I plan to drink 2 bottle a month till i finish all. you can stop me from drinking so much red wine by buying them from me at $15 each. I got them at $17.90 ea. Hmmm.... they taste quite good for an under $20 wine... I know bec i am drinking them now.. hahahaha!

3 more days to Christmas!

Time flies like no other thing... before you know it, all of us will be older by one more year soon... I am not concerned by being older. I just want to get a grip on life and grow wiser, hopefully more resources in the new year... esp now i am married and i NEED the resources... when will I get my promotion at my organisation? Its strange.

Everyone i know in my company got promoted except me. Am i that bad worker? Sometimes, i feel like a worm. Am i so lousy at my work? I know I am not the best or smartest around. But surely i know i deserve more than what i am getting now... Merry christmas to all!

Unpleasant dressing down soon...

Karen tells me that she get dressing down from her call-in customers everyday. Its part of her job to get the blame when the courier company or whoever along the way screwed up the delivery process.
Guess I can never get used to people scolding me. Worse still, things that are beyond my control sometimes. Just hope that I will get to keep my job for now. I need it to pay the bills. Pray with me.

BLACK BLACK Monday

What a day to start the week.. NEA came to my worksite and found mosquitoe breeding. Its the 2nd time in a month and it seem they are very determined to find them in every corner they can. I have nothing left to say. I may lose my job. What a day... Its like a terrible nightmare, but i cannot wake up from it.

Haw Par Villa

Sometimes have you wondered what the furthest distance between 2 people is? Is it the physical distance, or is it time? Or is it indifference?

I think 2 persons are furthest apart when they are together but yet they are far apart. They don’t know each other anyone, though they seem to still do. They don’t feel for each other anyone, but perhaps they do. Oddly, they have become strangers.
I am leaving my church of 8 years. It’s a fairly large church. I felt sad about leaving. I am leaving many friends and I know I am going to miss them. When you are worshipping in church and you cannot feel God, perhaps you have drifted apart from Him. But when you are not in church and there is a longing, you know He is calling for you. I was in NZ for nearly a month, spent 10 over days all by myself, and talking to myself at times to keep awake while driving alone. I see many beautiful mountains, endless streams, and timeless glaciers. You don’t to see all these to know that someone must have created all these. To me, the Big Bang theory is pure bull shit. I don’t believe in Evolution theory. We, human beings came from some kind of primates. They have failed to impress me with their scientific explanations of how Earth came into being.

I brought Karen’s aunties (from Taiwan) to Haw Par Villa 2 weeks ago. The place is still pretty well-kept and deserted now. The exhibits haven’t changed much for the past 20 years, I guess. One of the most interesting “attractions” for me has to be the 10 Halls of Hade (18 level Chinese hell). There are static displays of how each of the 10 halls looked like. I think they should upgrade it to include groaning sounds or moving parts, throw in some dry ice effects.

My 1st bugging question is… then what happens to the other races when they die? Why do I see only Chinese souls? Does Ang-Mo go to their own western-style heaven or hell, Malays to their own heaven (to see Allah) or hell, Indians too…? If the human world has progressed so much that we have spaceship to bring us to moon and back, why is the ‘Chinese hell’ so backwards? Why are the hell officials still wearing clothes that dated back to ancient China? Perhaps someone had died and came back to us to tell us about the 10 Halls of Hade, then why hasn’t the underworld upgraded their facilities? They have tons of hell money! After all, I see people burning air-plane, Mercs, DVD players and other advanced gadgets. One point to note is that someone ought to burn some Airport run-ways, control towers, pilots, airport staff! Right??? If not, what is the use of air-planes? I grew up in my earlier years believing that there is really a 10 halls of Hade but not now because it is not making any sense to me. Someone may say the idea of creating a hell concept is to make people think twice before they commit crimes or do any bad thing. But ask yourself if such a concept effective today? If yes, then our prison department should conduct guided tours for their inmates to go Haw Par Villa. Or schools should bring their young ones to visit the place as a compulsory educational tour, juvenile courts should send their offenders there as part of reformation training.

My 2nd bugging question, I wonder who wrote the story of Adam and Eve, I am talking about the reliablity of the account, did it really happen? There is only God, Adam and Eve (and maybe the Serpent lurking around) in the Garden of Eden. Who else is there to witness and write down this account? Still, since it is in the Bible, I guess I have to contend for now that it was likely that Moses wrote the account.

Karen recently asked me why is the difference about Jews and Christians? And if you want, Muslims too. After all, all 3 world major religions believe in One and only God, as opposed having an array of many Gods. I told her that early Christianity has her roots from Judaism. For us, our Lord and Saviour had already arrived on Earth in the person of Jesus Christ. The Jews had failed to recognise him as the Messiah and crucified Him instead, to fulfil what was prophesied in the Scriptures. Muslims believe in the revelation brought by Muhammad. She asked me why the Christians today are not united? Why so many different branches? She doesn’t like the pushy and hard-sell approach of many Christians.

Yes comin' home soon!

Its strange, its felt like I wanna go home fast. Bec i missed all my friends and my dog and my Lobo. I am travelling by myslef for almost 10days already. People whom met me along the way thought its unusual to travel so far alone... Come to thin of it, NZ is not that far. While at Noak's Ark at Greymouth, there is this guy who has been travelling for 6mths alone. He has bought a ticket that will bring him around the globe in a year. Around $6000 in airfares. Of course, he seem to be pretty well-off in terms of $$ power. Haha! If you add up all the accomodation and food, It wil jolly well be more than 10k easily. Even if you have all the money, who has got such time?

I am one crazy guy that will do it if I got both time and money! keke!

my flight will be on Wed! Finally! I heard frm my sister that my mum has moved back to stay with me. Oh no, that's not so good news. Haiz!

Enroute to Fox Glacier

En route to Fox Glacier

Photos are enroute to Fox Glacier - Internet access is bloody exp here! NZ$1 per 10 mins!!!

The last few photos are the room I will staying for 2 nights at Ivory Towers... at least got TV if not I will be bored to death! Anywae, there is only like 2 or 3 channels on the local TV. Exciting right?

And there is no mobile reception here! Unbelievable! There is no night life outside of the backpacker lodge... perhaps only the cafe where i had my steak dinner... And like most large countries, only the main streets are litted up, the highways are all dark by now... In Fox Glacier township, there is only 1 main street.
Tomorrow morning I will be going for a half day walk on Fox Glacier. Great! Monday pm I'll be at Greymouth.

Dunedin day 1

Dunedin

Oamaru

Oamaru

Rainy day at Dunedin!

I left Oamaru at 1130am. Prior to leaving, I got to know this Korean guy at the kitchen. I've got haf a pizza in the fridge n thought that i could share the pizza(yesterday dinner's leftovers) with him. He has been NZ for more than 3 weeks! Wish I can do the same. Was great cuz we exchanged stories abt our trips.. hmmm I had much less to share obviously, only 2 days. He advised me to book my backpacker's accomdation early as its hard to get a place. True enuff, ITS IS HARD to get a place!
I went online to try to get a single room. Couldnt get any. I haf the habit of sleep-talking in my sleep and somehow I would rather pay a bit more for that bit of privacy and security. In a shared bunk, i would have to lock up all my stuffs b4 I go out. That can be a hassle esp i love to leave my things lying around!~ Worse still, if everyone snored, and I am the last one to fall asleep... Haiz...

I drove to Moeraki Boulders... check out the photos...

I finally reached Dunedin around 4pm today. Checked into Manor Place backpacker... $56 for a night... hopefully no one is sharing my room.. will find out later in half hour time..

I uploaded quite alot tonight... There is nothing to do at night here in Dunedin... unless one goes drinking... I just drank a hot chocolate.. really shiok man..e esp that the weather is cold outside... I have gotta go back another 15 mins in the cold just to make this trip here...

I will stay another full day here in Dunedin on Tuesday... bec all the shops n place of attractions are closed at 5pm... Prob go to Queenstown on Wed...

Spending my 1st night in Oamaru at Empire Hotel Backpacker

Its really quite cheap, only $26. I had to share my room with a unknown tonight... wanted a single bed room but they ran out of rooms. This backpacker hotel is really cool place. the facilities are great! If evrywhere is like that, then why bother to put up in a hotel?

my original plan was to stop at Dunedin tonight.. but the sky was turing very dark around 530pm with an impending storm.. So i had to stop at Oamaru. This a a really super dupey ghost town. Its almost soul-less outside of this place... All my photos of the town are person-less and I cant even find someone to take a photo for me. Resorted to to using 10 sec auto timer. I cannot upload the photos today as this pc cannot be used for uploading... USB port sealed...

SO tomorrow I will set off for Dunedin. Its the 2nd largest city after Christchurch in South Island). So i will seeing more people hopefully.

My pizza dinner was great, too large for me to finish by myself, the remains shall be my breakfast tomorrow. The next best thing for me to do is to play my PSP and to sleep. What else can I do now? Boring place, Oamaru.... Bye bye!

Mount Hutt is closed today!!!!

We were supposed to go Mt Hutt but its closed.. due to I dunno what? Its just closed. The road leading up to the mountains are hang loosely with unpopular "CLOSED" sign. Haiz... I haven't seen snow yet in my life. Kekeke! Guess can catch in after this Sunday. So we ended up in Christchurch again.. This is a pretty small place... I am taking as much photos as I can. Upload them whenever I can along my little road trip south of South Island. If the photos sucks, forgive me bec i'm using a idiot camera. No SLR for me. Not in my this and next year budget either.

Its 4:14pm(NZ time). I gotta spend another 3 hours roaming the streets alone till 7pm. The whole team is meeting up at 7pm at the Square to go to some place to sit on a Gonola, and buffet dinner at some unk mountain top. If only Lobo can be with me! I can't see how much romantic moments I gonna have with a big bunch of guys, sitting in a Gonola? I can look forward to taking more photos. And Food! We are forced-fed here everyday. The food servings are large compared to back home.

Its kinda dumb to sit in an internet cafe banging away on a keyboard as of right now. But to think that I am going to roam the streets again in a little while made me stay here another 15 mins more. They are charging me $1 for 20 mins of use. (Lobo, where are you?)

Today is the start of our exercise!

Dear blog
And I think it will end on Wed evening or Thur am.

So we wouldnt be able to book dese few days. The next update is at 10am.. so that means we would nothing to do for the next 2 hours.. its too cold outside to consider taking a walk either. Hehe! Yesterday, I saw what i thought was the most beautiful sunset fo the week. It was cloudless and the sky was decked out in brilliant layers of light. What a sight to behold. Things can only get better cos we will be visiting Mt Hutt this weekend...

My updates

Dear Blog
We went out of camp yesterday... took some photos at the Catheral Square and the surrounding touristy spots. Next was the boring Ricarton Mall. A single storey shopping mall like Tampines Mall. The carpark building seems larger than the mall.. But what to do? Everyone drives in NZ, they need the carpark. Next comes the worse part of the day, it started to rain the whole day, all the way into the night. We had to stay in the casiNO for the next 2-3 hours. I cannot describe how awfully draggy this period was for me... For a start, i dont gamble, I suck at gambling. So i headed to the pub for a beer, only NZ$4.50. Pretty good price, incl live band(minus band instruments), only two good looking NZ babes singing karaoke(via some pre-recorded song tracks). Sorry guys no photos of the babes...

The next best thing was our dinner, we headed off to Oxford Ter to a resturant called Taps. Ordered a "Wild Tasting". For the 1st time, i ate some Kangeroo and crocodile meat. The kangeroo tasted like roasted lamb crossed with beef. The crocodile meat tasted like a combination of fish and kampong chicken. Aother pal ordered a fab looking seafood platter! The highlight was a beer sampler. NZ$15 for 7 different types.

AND now, as I am blogging and all ready to load up the photos of my day trip. my external thumbdrive device is too big for the USB port! I have to figure out some alternative ways man!

Its seem colder Today than Yesterday

Dear blog,
Yipee!~ Looks like we can book out tonight! I seems to have much to write.. but when i sit in front of the pc... my thoughts faded away. Life's good here, but the weather is very cold... plus we got little time to ourselves. The free WIFI setup was not there as orginally planned for(or mentioned). So many of us have to rely on just 3 PCs on our internet connection. Ratio is like 80-3. Go figure it out!

Wonder what's there to do in Christchurch anywae? On last Tuesday when we booked out, the city was like a ghost town by 9pm... however, things could be better today, its Friday. Tell you what, I am bringing my camera out. Will post some pcitures for you all to see... for now, I am logging off to go SALI...

"I rather burn in hell!!!"

"I rather burn in hell!!! (than to go to Heaven)"

How many us would like to hear that?

Especially coming from those we love, those closest to our hearts. Sadly those closest to us are often the hardest to reach out as well...

We may be even be praying for months, for years, for many years, for many many years... or we may just give up

I remembered reading somewhere this:
"Suppose you are the Head of CIA and you know that some terrorist idiots are planning to bomb the very airliner that your loved ones are going to board...."

Think about it. what would you do? (Get them(and the rest) off the plane)

I was very upset.

Why would someone rather choose to go Hell than going Heaven?
Choosing Eternal Misery over Eternal bliss?

Why would someone choose eating a bowl of sand than rice?

Choosing to drink burning oil Over Cooling water?

Why why why why why why why why why?????????

There could be a dozen reasons why people choose not to believe in Christ.

I see that a big part of it lies in me. I mean I am part of the reason why people wouldnt believe in me. People see me, a christian, people see my life, friends who know me. And when i do awful things(we called them sin), people see! During the Leaders meeting on 3 April, Ps reminded us once again that we are to be the "light and salt of the world". I am becoming less and less of that description. I am not perfect, not even close. Humanly speaking.
I don't impact the world that much now. But surely I do influence my friends, my loved ones. To a certain extent non christians do judge Christanity by the way we behave, or dis-behave...

see my blog slogan: "Don't judge God's holy ideals by my inability to meet them. Don't judge Christ by those of us who imperfectly bear His Name"

Like it or not, I guess its so difficult to win those close to me. What does it take to win over to Christ?

I have been out of "action" for so long... i nearly forgot my own blog address... Watch this space...
